On every November 5th we in England and all over the World including New Zealand, Newfoundland, South Africa, parts of Canada and the Caribbean and the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda celebrate the failed gunpowder plot by Guy Fawkes and his fellow catholics with a bonfire and the burning of an effigy called a "Guy" and the exploding of Fireworks. The failed plot of 1605 involved the blowing up of the Houses of Parliament and the murder of the elite of England.
